Sunset’s documented coffee comes from women producers in the ASOPEP cooperative in Tolima, Colombia. Ethyl acetate decaffeination and maple, vanilla and dark-chocolate notes give this Traveling Gnome coffee a clearer identity than a generic evening blend.

About this coffee

Joshua Tree sunsets inspired the name. The source’s medium-roast description is the reference profile, but this store also lists light, medium-dark and dark options. The roaster’s source statement assigns 10% of Sunset sales to the National Parks Conservation Association; no new promotion terms are added here.

Preparation and selection

Select roast level before dialing in: a light selection may need more extraction than a dark one. For medium, try 20 g coffee to 320 g water and watch for maple sweetness as it cools. Keep dose fixed while adjusting grind, particularly when moving from regular coffee to decaf.

You really can't complain at this price! Yes, it's made of plastic, but it gets the job done for grinding beans. Zeroing the grinder is a bit tricky and it's not the easiest to adjust. However, I've been using it for a month now and I'm quite satisfied overall.

Great Roaster Smooth coffee

I bought this roaster to launch my micro roastery. Its amazing, i roast some truly amazing coffee with my kaliedo. I am able to roast all night on it most night i am roasting anywhere from 10-20 batches non stop. The only issue i have had is cooling fans breaking on me i have had to replace 2 cooling fans. But given how much i roast i can not complain, its a work horse and i love it. The best part is the customer service. I will 100 precent be buying my next roaster here because of the customer service. They go above and beyond to help and solve any issues you may have. Lastly i like how easy it is work on and maintain the kalideo. The spare parts are affordable and its easy to replace parts that break. if you need a good entry roaster look no further

The guys at Espresso outlet are extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful. I ordered a Turin machine that arrived damaged. I decided I wanted to go with a different kind of machine entirely.
