Matches the other cup that came with my Turin grinder.
Saves time making two espressos having two dosing cups.
Very fast shipping. I prefer this dosing cup to the more expensive ones available elsewhere.
I received my machine earlier this week. Had it out of the crate set up and paired with the app in no time. Machine build seems very solid and a quick peek at the internals when I took the top off (2 screws) to remove the protection film revealed a beautiful, well executed and roomy interior. Gear pump is something I never thought I’d need but it is amazing. I love the joysticks for steam hot water. Also I am accustomed to dual boilers and find this dual boiler, saturated group machine to heat up very quickly.
Huge plus, Tablet not even needed except to set machine parameters and run premade profiles (either pressure or flow) or make your own and you get feedback on your pull from it. Currently I just made a 9 bar flat 30 second profile to dial it. Will get into more elaborate preset and my own profiles as I get time.
I bound that 9 bar flat profile to the paddle, meaning unless I want to dive deeper I can run it just like any other machine with a switch and not even need a tablet. I have the option to just use it like a basic machine.
That flexibility and actuators for steam and water are just a couple of the features set apart from other machines that basically need the tablet to run.
Cup clearance is insane, I can fit a 12 oz paper go cup on my Acaia lunar with ease.
Imo even without the advanced features, this machine is as better than anything else in the price range.
I’ve been happy so far - pleasantly surprised even. Considering how little this cost, it is a good machine. As long as you have an OK grinder (df64 gen2 in my case) you can make totally acceptable coffee. The steam bloc being separate from the brew boiler means there’s no heat up/cooldown between brewing and steaming milk though it cannot do both at one time and I am yet to really put it though it’s paces as far a brewing back-to-back shots (as far as temperature stability/consistency). I don’t have outsize expectations for such a small machine but so far it’s been pretty good. The steam power is adequate for a small home machine like this - takes a little longer to steam milk than a commercial machine and I’m not sure it can handle great volumes of milk at a time but who honestly needs that at home at 7am? Another thing that’s kind of nice to have is easy access to the adjustable OPV without needing to open the machine. This is a perfectly suitable budget-friendly machine in a form-factor fit for small kitchens with limited counters, like mine.
This particular grinder was upgraded by Espresso Outlet to include the addition of the plasma generator… I used this particular grinder as a gift for a friend… the family has used it daily and they love its capabilities over that of their older conical burr grinder for their espresso…
The machine is not consistent on temp at the brew head. This is too important for me. Also, the vibration vibrates your espresso cups off so you have to hold or watch them while pulling a shot. Customer service was less than stelar.

I've really, really been enjoying my turin legato v2. Is works like a dream. There's literally nothing bad i have to say about it. Espresso outlet answered all my questions I had within 24hrs. I'll be choosing to shop with then again when I'm ready for a grinder upgrade. The legato v2 is the best option for the price, with all the loaded features right or is the box. No mods needed.
I have been in the coffee industry for a few years and have several commercial machines in use at my shop and roastery. I also buy service and sell used commercial machines, so I am familiar with what the inside of a well-made machine looks like. The Gallatin is a rock-solid machine with great build quality, and just as important is the fact that it uses industry-standard parts, so there is no fear of ever having to source a hard-to-find proprietary part.
I would love to see future upgrades providing access to the OPV adjustment without having to remove a cover, but that is a simple task anyway. I have been using this machine to pull 3-4 double-shots per day, and the temperature is very stable, the pulls are consistent, and every part of the machine is built like a tank. I like the ability to pull a shot and steam at the same time, and not having to temperature-surf like many machines require you to do to get consistent pulls.
This machine is a great example of Asia beating the Italians at their own game since so many of the old Italian manufacturers have gotten complacent. I plan on adding a flow control sometime soon, but I cannot think of anything else this machine needs to be an absolute rock star. My espresso tastes amazing, and the steamer produces an amazing texture and reasonably fast heating of milk. This machine might not be able to keep up with a commercial machine volume-wise, but as far as drink quality goes, I would put it up next to a La Marzocco anytime.
Definantly worth it! And lived up to all the hype online. New too espresso, I like everyone else searched the for the best grinder... a few were repeatedly recommended. DF64 was so much preferred not only for its lower price then the others but for the quality. The only complaint I honestly could find was that it wasn't really quiet. So expecting it to wake the dead on my first grind I waited patently for my husband to get up. Started to grind my beans and was very disappointed as I couldn't hear any crazy loud noise. It wasn't nothing but it definitely wasn't loud. I have an old crappy electric grinder that has the cats running for their lives every morning when I use to grind beans. This is nothing, it works amazing quick, is heavy and will be the only espresso grinder you need for a very long time. Spend the little extra get a far superior grinder! Trust me you'll be so happy.
Also use this for beans for my French press. Perfect easy to set, but once you start making espresso your never going to have to adjust the dialing again because all I want now is an espresso.
Buy it. Stop questioning. Just do it.
Your welcome!
I am absolutely blown away by espresso outlet! They have been excellent so far! I have their H40V2 as my grinder and this Legato is wonderful! I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
