LUCCA Solo Espresso Machine
The LUCCA Solo is a single-boiler machine dedicated to espresso. It does not include a steam wand, so its heating system and controls remain focused on brewing. An E61 group, PID temperature adjustment and shot timer support a deliberate manual routine. The compact width helps create a serious espresso station without the size of a dual-boiler machine.
Choose Solo when straight espresso, Americanos prepared separately or coffee tasting is the priority. Because it is not designed for steaming milk, buyers who regularly make lattes should look to M58 or another dual-boiler platform.
LUCCA Solo With Flow Control
The flow-control configuration adds a valve at the E61 group for changing water delivery during extraction. A low-flow beginning can extend pre-infusion, while later adjustments allow the user to explore declining-flow profiles. The standard Solo and flow-control version share the same espresso-only purpose; choose the latter when profiling and experimentation justify the added control.
Flow control does not replace good fundamentals. Establish a consistent grind, dose, distribution and baseline shot before changing the paddle. Use one repeatable profile at first so taste changes can be linked to a specific adjustment.
LUCCA M58 Espresso Machine
The M58 is the milk-drink and entertaining option. Separate brew and steam boilers provide independent PID temperature management and simultaneous operation. Its rotary pump is quieter than a typical vibration pump and supports an internal reservoir or direct plumbing. The E61 group preserves the traditional lever workflow, while the larger system provides the capacity expected from a prosumer dual boiler.

I had a thermoblock Breville Bambino before. After ~6yrs using it I could make good cortado but it was inconsistent.
This machine produces quality results every time. The steam is powerful. The extraction is great. Consistent, high temps. We get comments on how nice it looks.
For negatives, the included manual is sparse, especially for maintenance. I’ve found some videos online but many are in Korean so we’re still figuring that out. We drink primarily medium/dark roast. I’ve made light roast with it. It came out ok, but don’t know if I’d suggest it for that.

Digital Gap adjustment is Amazing
I bought both the Lita and the Milo. I had some concerns about grind retention after watching a few online reviews, but after using the Milo, I haven’t experienced any issues with this.
I really love being able to adjust the burr gap predictably and reliably digitally. It makes dialing in my beans much easier, and once I get a particular bean dialed in, I can save a profile for it and quickly return to those settings later.
