Two decaffeination methods in one blend
Bendix Decaf Blend combines coffees from two countries and two decaffeination approaches: Swiss Water and ethyl acetate, commonly abbreviated EA. Bendix describes the finished blend as rich and bold. The combination of decaf methods is the clearest product distinction, giving customers a different option from a single-origin or single-process decaf.
The two origin countries, component proportions, roast level, producers, cultivars, elevations and original post-harvest processes are not published. Swiss Water and EA describe caffeine-removal methods, not whether the coffees were washed, natural or honey processed at origin. This page does not assign unsupported flavors or agricultural details to either component.
Decaffeinated coffee can retain a small amount of caffeine. Bendix does not publish a laboratory-tested serving value, so Decaf is not presented as absolute zero. Whole-bean, Ground and Coarse formats are available in 12-ounce, one-pound and five-pound bags.

Brew for body and a clean finish
For automatic drip, start with 30 grams of coffee and 480 grams of filtered water. Use a medium grind and water around 198–202°F. Taste the blend as a whole rather than attempting to attribute every sensation to one decaf method; the components are designed to work together.
If the cup is thin or sharply sour, grind a little finer. If it becomes drying or rough, move coarser or reduce agitation. Hold dose and water steady during this test. Once extraction is balanced, adjust the brew ratio in small steps to control beverage strength.
For French press, use 30 grams to 500 grams of water with a medium-coarse grind. Steep about four minutes, let grounds settle and decant. Metal filtration can emphasize body. A paper-filter method provides more clarity and may make the finish easier to evaluate.
Whole-bean customers can make repeatable changes with the Turin DF54 grinder. For espresso experiments, the Turin DF64 Gen 2 grinder provides finer adjustment, but no Bendix espresso recipe is supplied for this blend, and prepared Ground or Coarse coffee is not guaranteed to suit an espresso basket.
Format, storage and decaf comparisons
Choose 12 ounces to evaluate the blend, one pound for regular use or five pounds for shared high-volume brewing. Divide a large bag into airtight portions. Ground coffee loses aroma faster than whole bean, so the smallest practical bag can be the better value when consumption is modest.
Keep coffee sealed away from heat, light and moisture. Degassing can change bloom and espresso flow after roasting. Follow a roast date and Bendix guidance when provided, then make gradual recipe changes rather than assuming all decaf coffees need the same extraction treatment.
