Deep in the Northern Maine Woods, between Eagle Lake and Umbazooksus Lake, lie two relics of a bygone age. These are the Allagash Ghost Trains. Accessible by either a long canoe trip or a long drive on sometimes rough logging roads and a short hike, these trains were used to transfer logs between the two lakes. Decommissioned in 1933 these trains lay forgotten until they were rediscovered decades later.

I thought I was just buying a simple grinder but it does so much more. The ability to adjust the grind size is amazing and then the removable bottom with the inner stopper makes putting the grounds into my portfilter so easy! I thought I was going to have to scoop them out and that would have been so much messier.

I am so impressed with this grinder, especially for the price. It was incredibly easy to dial in my espresso, and the stepless adjustment makes it easy to be precise. There is little to no retention so far. It’s not too noisy either, which is great for when I’m making a drink while the rest of the house is still asleep.
