Note about water hardness
Using hard water will ruin your espresso machine. Soft water no higher than 50ppm is required to keep your espresso machine running for the long term. Using hard water will void the warranty.
Does an excellent job on both espressos and milk drinks. Plenty of steam power
Absolutely love this machine. It reads bars from the group head & not the boiler or pump for accurate readings. 2 ulka Italian vibratory pumps. Super fast heat up time(2min espresso boiler & under 6 for steam boiler) The best part is it retains heat very well so I can turn it off instead of just leaving it sitting on, and it'll heat up even faster. I haven't tested the temperature coming out of the machine but it's super consistent and the boiler heating system is like the Breville DB so it's accurate to 0.1⁰c.
I have not done a OPV or dimmer mod but have no problem hitting the extraction pressure I want. If you like to do mods this machine has a ton of room inside so you will never have to worry about trying to make something fit. If you make milk based drinks the steam wand on this machine is great and produces silky smooth micro foam. I highly recommend this machine.
I had spent a complete year in my pre-purchase decision before landing on this machine. What settled it for me is the double boiler at the price point of a Rancilio Silvia with an E61 grouphead and a powerful steam wand. It comes with three-hole and four-hole tips. I use the 4-hole.
The machine does have a few quirks. First, the "double" shot button is more a QUADRUPLE shot button as it is set to output 60ml!!! Don't waste your time and coffee trying to dial in with the "double shot" button!!! An 18-gram basket should output 36 ml in 20 - 30 seconds. The "single" shot button is closer to the 36-gram target, being set to outupt 30 ml, but still not good enough. Mine outputs around 26 - 27 ml which is under-extracted enough to taste sour and disgusting! The buttons can be re-programmed to your target extraction yields. To dial in and for general use, stick with MANUAL and a proper coffee scale/timer. Stop the machine when 34 ml have been dispensed. It continues to pour the remaining 2 ml after stopping the extraction, so you need to stop the machine 2 ml prior to target. The machine requires a very fine grind to come up to pressure. I paired it with a Eureka Mignon Specialita and that is set at +0.125. The machine will not reach pressure if set coarser; the machine will choke if set finer. My grinder burrs chatter at -0.5. With the grinder so configured, I routinely pull 9 - 11 bars. The steam wand spurts water when you first purge, so you want to purge 2x to 3x into a tall cup and maybe have a barista towel over that, or you'll make a mess.
Overall a great machine, especially if you take the time to correctly dial in and do manual pulls (and/or program your shot buttons to the correct extraction yields). I'll also note that I work with store-bought medium and dark roast beans and concoct my own 70/30 Robusta/Arabica blends.
I bought two naked portafilters, VST baskets (18 and 27 grams), a palm distributor and a self-leveling 30-lb spring loaded tamper. I'm very pleased with the setup.

Let customers speak for us
from 1044 reviewsSolid Build Quality. Looks great, gives off a German seriousness, the boxy appearance is not a negative. Perfect size for a home setup. Thought about the 83V but the footprint turned me off. The CF64V/Rocio Manus combo outperforms the Linea/Mazzer Major I used to work professionally with

Very pleased with the Turin grinder. Very even, consistent grinds, fairly quiet, great design.

First off, let me start by saying Espresso Outlet's customer service is top notch! My first order arrived, and the grinder stopped working on day 5. I contacted EO and they immediately arranged for me to return it (still had the box) and then shipped me out a new grinder as soon as they got confirmation of it being shipped. A+ Got the new grinder and it's been smooth sailing since. Also, I think the first grinder I received must have been the last from a slightly older lot, because the new one had some very slight differences, like the chute you feed beans into was detachable on the first one, but not on the second.
But on to the grinder review. I upgraded from a Baratza Sette 270wi, and let me just say, there is no comparison. I have the stock espresso burrs on the DF83V, but man are they great. Maybe someday I'll look at fiddling with burrs, but for now I'm really enjoying these. There is so much more nuance to the coffee flavor, it's like I'm discovering great home espresso all over again. This thing is a beast, too. Heavy, feels rock solid, and QUIET. My husband doesn't share my love of coffee. He has always complained about the noise my grinders make in the morning. Two days after using this one, he tells me "I like your new grinder." Me: "You do? Why?" Him: "It's quiet. I can sleep through it in the morning." So take that for what you will.
I also had the chance to use a CF64V prior to this one (a friend's), and while that one also had great clarity and nuance of flavor, clean up with the DF83V is world's easier. I would absolutely recommend this grinder. I think it very likely compares favorably with much more expensive grinders in its grinder class.

Quick knowledgable responses. Looking forward to buying my first machine from them.
this is my 4th coffee from Old Salt Coffee roasters… all four are exceptional… bean selection pairings and roasted just as to what has brought out the best and balanced flavors of each…Old Salt’s Haze Gray, Green Eyes,Silent Service and Brown Shoe each are definitely worth trying… each have their own very unique flavor profiles and are “just right”

This particular roast is spot-on… truly a medium roast that accentuates the balanced flavor in my experimenting this morning with two each of pour-overs and French press in my ESPRO

Whoever designed the packing for this item should get a Nobel Prize. It is packed in a faux-pallet made of cardboard. Incredible. Just day two of ownership so there's some honeymoon effect. But first impressions - bulletproof build. I was a little worried about the strength of the knob but it feels like quality stereo equipment, should easily last a decade. The machine actually performs like the reviews mention.

Friends have much more expensive espresso machines, so far this machine (Turin Legato) has matched or exceeded theirs!
Amazing Customer service! I love how quickly they responded to my questions and love the new coffee grinder TURIN SK40.
