Upgraded my DF54 v1 with original parts to the v3 upgrade kit and its its been working well. I didn’t have issues with clogging with the v1 parts but it did have static issues even with regular maintenance.
The new kit with bigger chute, metal declumper, and antistatic design made a huge difference for me. Grinds come out more fluffy and smoother through the chute and the anti static needles near the tip of the chute has reduced static well.
I didn’t install the clear plastic piece it came with, only the metal declumper, as it looks like it could caue clogging. I wish they included instead a clear plastic that has the same size squre hole as the metal declumper if that was meant to be a gasket or spacer.
I use the DF54 mutiple times a day for espresso and clean the chute once to twice a week and havent had any issues with clogging, clumps, static even without RDT (depending on beans/humidity) with the upgrade kit. Happy with the upgrade kit so far.
