GABEE’s Clydesdale Estate coffee brings a medium City roast to a 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain offering. Chocolate-truffle, nutty and herbal notes sit at the center of the roaster’s profile, making this a choice for drinkers who value sweetness and balance in a single-origin cup.

Coffee profile

  • Coffee: 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain, Grade 1
  • Cultivar: Blue Mountain
  • Elevation: 1,000 meters above sea level
  • Origin: Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica
  • Process: Fully washed; sun-dried
  • Roast: City roast / medium
  • Tasting notes: Chocolate truffle, herbs, sweetness and nuts

A measured approach to a special coffee

The Blue Mountain name identifies the coffee’s origin; it does not mean that every brew will taste identical or have no acidity. Use the roaster’s chocolate and herbal notes as a guide, then adjust your preparation to preserve sweetness. This is roasted coffee ready for brewing, rather than green coffee for home roasting.

Brewing guidance

GABEE recommends Chemex, V60 or Kalita Wave. Start with a small, weighed brew so you can find your preferred strength before using more of the 200 g bag. Taste as the cup cools: aroma, sweetness and the herbal finish may become easier to distinguish.

For filter coffee, a useful starting recipe is 20 g coffee to 320 g water (1:16). Use a grind suited to the brewer. If the cup is thin and sharp, try a little finer; if it is drying and slow to drain, try a little coarser. Treat this as a starting point, not a product-specific tested recipe.

For whole-bean preparation, explore Turin coffee grinders and choose a model that supports your brew method.

For a more floral comparison, explore GABEE’s washed Panama Geisha. Browse more specialty coffee from independent roasters.

Great Service! It has been a few months since I purchased my machine, but I absolutely love it. Initially I had some issues with damage from shipping, but Joe took care of it immediately so there were no problems. He also stayed on the phone with me for a long time the day I received my machine so I could get everything working properly. I highly recommend!

Great customer service! Joe worked with me from purchasing a grinder to ultimately returning and changing to a different grinder. It’s a tough decision buying without seeing or using and the fact that a business is willing to work with their customers goes a long way with me. I would definitely recommend Joe and EspressoOutlet.
