I received a different collecting cup than what was shown in the product images. When I contacted customer service, the representative was rude and only suggested returning the item instead of resolving the issue. Very disappointing experience.
Love it so far, but admittedly it is taking me quite a bit of time to get my recipes dialed in using a new model grinder for the first time in more than five years. Pleased that Espresso Outlet shipped the product two weeks prior to the expected delivery time frame.
Came from a Breville Smart Grinder Pro to my first flat burr grinder. I can immediately tell the difference in my pour overs. They taste sweeter and I can tell different notes. Espressos seem richer and seemingly more syrupy. However, the grind settings drifted a bit at the first few brews. Had muddy pour overs. Could be because of the break-in period. I did season over 2 lbs of Kirkland Organic Peru before my first brew. Didn’t want to waste my “good” coffee in the process. I don’t know if I need to align my burrs or not. I hear chirping when switching settings. But, I could’ve messed up the alignment by taking the top off to see if they installed my red titanium burrs and not paying attention and being a rookie and just putting it back without knowing which position it was in. I got this to learn flat burrs and maybe upgrade to SSPs later in life.
I started my espresso journey in early 2024 with the purchase of a Breville Barista Pro, the newer version with Baratza burr set. First mod I did there was a single dose hopper. From there I began trying different coffees, experimenting with roast levels, etc. Towards the end of 2024 I realized I preferred lighter roasts, and from all the research I was doing learned that the integrated conical burr grinder in my BBP wasn't suited to getting the most out of the those lighter roasted options. After much thoughtful consideration and research, I settled on the DF64. And wow am I glad I did.
I feel like if I didn't upgrade to this grinder, my coffee obsession might've died. Getting this grinder unlocked a whole new world of espresso possibilities for me. More clarity, more consistency, and just overall better coffee experience.
This grinder is built like a TANK. And as a person who likes to tinker and mod, it's super easy to work on and clean.
Finally, I am beyond pleased with the buying and CS experience with EspressoOutlet. They are incredibly responsive, their prices are great, and the shipping was fast.
I've had this grinder a year and I'm now considering an upgrade to the DF83v v3, and I wouldn't consider buying it from anywhere else but EspressoOutlet!
Great product and experience.

from 1165 reviewsSo far good!I've had the MC3 just under a month and it's been a joy to use! Very easy to figure out! Im very familiar with Espresso machines and even those who are not should be to figure out pretty easily. It's made great espresso and the steam power is great! I love the hole tip that comes stock on the steam wand. I love the fact the grouphead has internal heaters so you can be assured temps are more stable!
So good!thank you so much!
Have owned the machine for a couple of weeks, extremely fast shipping and great customer service. The machine itself has huge value and features for the price. The quality of the build also feels unmatched for the price category. The workflow has a slight learning curve, but once you get it down, it produces beautiful espresso shots and the steaming capability is also very solid for its category.
Great machine, love the espresso it makes
I have had the Milo play grinder for a few weeks now and it is everything I was looking for. I like switching between different brewing methods often and the Milo play can precisely calibrate itself With a click of a button to the exact grind size I program it for. So far it has very good constancy. It has replaced two grinders on my countertop.
Absolutely love it! Espresso outlet is the best. I now have 3 of their grinders, their espresso machine and their roaster!
DF54, to match up with my Mara X
What can I say that hasn't been said before, just a real good coffee grinder (so far) I've only had this grinder for a few weeks, bough latest version v3 with the red titanium burrs ($235.00 and after tax $255.00 U.S.) I move from a Eureka Facile grinder which has served me well since 2021.
What like about the DF 54 is how easy it is to get at the burrs and to clean it, much easier than the Eureka.
It not very noisy, small foot print, does not jump around when grinding only thing that was a little annoying was the bellows fit to grinder, the lid fits tight so when you try to take it of the bellows comes off with it, not a deal breaker but can be annoying when making several drinks
Overall I would give it a -A, I think that for around 85 to 90% of the people making home espresso this would be a great grinder for them :)
It surpassed our expectation! Everything build withquality and the computer connection works perfectly.
1. Overall build quality is amazing. As with Data and Lita, build quality is second to none. The Play is no different. Grinder is almost 20lbs. Look and feel is great and looks right at home sitting on my counter.
2. The digital burr gap is amazing! It is fast and responsive. It can change settings between espresso and filter in a few seconds. This will make dialing in coffees so easy, especially if you like switching between different roasts. You can have pre-set programmed burr gap for light, medium, and dark roasts. It will make dialing in a snap. This was the main feature that sold me on the grinder. I cannot stress enough what a game changing feature this is.
3. It's fast. 5-8 seconds for 20-30 gm dose.
4. Performance - I have been impressed with performance. The espresso quality has been great and I have had some amazing shots. The shot have been some of the best I have had. This grinder paired with a step-down basket has elevated my espresso game.
I did a side by side comparrison with my hand grinder for pour over today. I have a 1zpresso J hand grinder. This has been my daily driver for pour over. I set up the Play for 500rpm and 450um burr gap. I could not tell discernable difference. There were slightly nuanced changes but most of these made me to lean towards the Play. For reference, I was using a light roast Ethiopian from Black & White - Bekele Belachew Anaerobic natural. I was using Hario V-60.
1. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase! A huge shout out to the team at Espresso Outlet for teaming up with this amazing company. I have been waiting for this grinder for over a year when I first saw the Milo II.
I have been using the Milo Play for almost 3 weeks and am delighted with it. Over the last 25 years I have owned 3 grinders, Mazzer Mini, Baratza Vario, and most recently the DF64V. This grinder surpasses them in both form and function. It is well made of metal and plastic and feels like high quality. It took just a few minutes to get used to the electronic grind adjustment. This would be a great grinder all on it's own but when combined with the Wendogee Data S, it is even better. In stand alone mode there are several easily set profiles (presets) which will make moving between different types of coffee a breeze. Profiles control speed, grind size and time. When used with the Data S, the speed and grind size can be part of the profiles and once a profile is selected, a tap of the grind button sets up the grinder for that profile. For me this is what makes the grinder the best I have ever used. If I see during the pour that a grind adjustment needs a tweak, I edit the profile right then. It takes just a few seconds. The next next time I use that profile, the updated grind settings are ready to go. No more writing it down or trying to remember. This grinder has made keeping track of grind settings for different coffees easy. At my age, a grinder with a good memory is a real asset.
Great little grinder.
There was a long wait for the product, I made pre order for mid murch. I've got it at mid February.
