Ocean Drive Sunrise combines medium- and dark-roasted coffees from Africa, Central America and South America. CoffeeVice describes cocoa, caramel and vanilla notes in this post-roast blend, offering a different approach from an all-dark-roast house blend.

What a post-roast blend means
The coffees are combined after roasting, allowing components to be developed separately before they enter the blend. That is useful context for the medium-and-dark description; it does not identify the exact proportions or countries. Whole bean is the most flexible listed option for adjusting grind across brewing methods.

A measured starting recipe
For a filter-brew starting point, measure 20 g coffee and 320 g water, a 1:16 brew ratio by mass. Use a grind appropriate for your filter and keep the bed evenly saturated. If the cup is balanced but weak, increase the coffee dose slightly; if it is sour or dry, adjust extraction through grind size before changing several variables at once.
More preparation and product questions
Where does this coffee come from?
Africa, Central America and South America.
What roast profile is listed?
Medium and dark.
What cup or flavor profile is described?
Cocoa, caramel and vanilla.
How do I adjust strength without losing balance?
Change the coffee-to-water ratio when the flavor is balanced but the cup is too weak or concentrated. Use grind adjustments when the problem is extraction, keeping dose and water quantity constant for comparison.
Should I judge the coffee only while piping hot?
Taste again as the cup cools toward a comfortable drinking temperature. Sweetness, acidity, body and finish may become easier to distinguish before you decide how to adjust the next brew.
How should I store the coffee?
Keep it sealed away from heat, light and moisture. Grind whole beans shortly before brewing; keep ground coffee tightly closed between uses to limit exposure to air.
