La Spaziale Dream Direct-Plumb Dual-Boiler Espresso Machine

The La Spaziale Dream combines the S1 platform's dual boilers and 53 mm group with a graphic touchscreen, programmable drink volumes, shot timing and multiple user profiles. This version is direct-plumbed and uses a rotary pump, distinguishing it from the reservoir-fed Dream T.

Its 0.45-liter brew boiler and 2.5-liter service boiler allow simultaneous espresso preparation and milk steaming. The display centralizes temperature, dosing, scheduled on/off times and operating information, making the Dream a strong choice for a permanent home coffee bar where both precision and an approachable interface matter.

What Makes the Dream Different?

Touchscreen control

The capacitive interface provides access to brew temperature, volumetric doses, timers, profiles, cleaning functions and machine settings. It replaces a button-heavy workflow without turning the machine into a super-automatic—the user still grinds, doses, distributes, tamps and steams manually.

Direct-plumb convenience

A direct water connection and rotary pump eliminate reservoir filling and support a fixed installation. Correct water treatment, a shutoff and drain planning are essential parts of the purchase.

Four programmable profiles

Store different configurations for multiple coffees or users. Profiles are useful when the household alternates between roast levels, doses or temperature preferences, but grinder adjustment remains necessary when coffee changes.

Volumetrics, timer and PID

Programmable shot volumes simplify repeatability, while the extraction timer supplies immediate feedback. Electronic temperature control helps match brew temperature to the coffee; it does not replace measuring dose and beverage yield.

Large steam boiler

The 2.5-liter service boiler provides more steam reserve than the Dream T's smaller reservoir-oriented system, making the plumbed Dream the better fit for frequent milk drinks.

Dream vs. Dream T vs. Vivaldi II

Dream Touchscreen, profiles, direct plumb, rotary pump, 2.5 L steam boiler
Dream T Touchscreen, profiles, reservoir, vibration pump, 1.2 L steam boiler
Vivaldi II Direct plumb, rotary pump, button interface, 2.5 L steam boiler

The Dream is the most interface-focused direct-plumb S1 model. Choose the Dream T when a water line is not available, or the Vivaldi II when physical controls and a simpler display are preferred.

Installation, Water and Workflow

Confirm the selected 15A or 20A electrical configuration before shipment. For plumbing, plan a tested water source, treatment, accessible shutoff, suitable inlet connection and drain. Do not connect the machine to untreated hard water or to aggressive low-mineral water without confirming compatibility.

During daily use, treat volumetric buttons as workflow aids—not a substitute for a scale. Calibrate dose, yield and time whenever the coffee or grind changes. Purge the steam wand before and after use and follow the machine's group-cleaning routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Dream and Dream T?

The Dream is direct-plumbed with a rotary pump and larger service boiler. The Dream T uses an internal reservoir and vibration pump.

Is the Dream a super-automatic machine?

No. It automates water-volume delivery and provides programmable controls, but the barista still grinds, doses, tamps, starts the shot and steams milk.

Can the touchscreen be updated?

The platform supports firmware and settings-management functions. Follow the current manufacturer instructions and use only compatible update files.

What are the four profiles for?

They allow separate saved settings for different users or coffees. Grinder settings and puck preparation are not stored by the machine.

Does it require a drain?

A drain should be planned with the direct-water installation. Confirm fittings and local plumbing requirements before purchase.

Does it use a 58 mm portafilter?

No. It uses the La Spaziale 53 mm group.

Can it run on a 15-amp circuit?

North American units can be configured for 15A or 20A operation. Confirm the selected configuration, plug and dedicated circuit before shipment.

Can it be used in a café?

No. This product is sold for residential use, and commercial operation can void the warranty.

Great Service! It has been a few months since I purchased my machine, but I absolutely love it. Initially I had some issues with damage from shipping, but Joe took care of it immediately so there were no problems. He also stayed on the phone with me for a long time the day I received my machine so I could get everything working properly. I highly recommend!
