This roaster is a monumental upgrade from my previous two setups. I started on a whirly pop over my stove several years ago and upgraded to a fluid bed roaster early last year, but preliminary tests on my M1 Lite felt like the previous two roast methods were Stone Age technology. I previously logged my roast profiles using Excel with imported thermocouple data from a self-programmed microcontroller. This machine has both ambient and bean temperature sensors built in, meaning plug and play with Artisan, and I’m having a blast fine-tuning roast profiles. Setup was very easy using the instructions in the box. The largest batch size I’ve made successfully is 180 grams but I wouldn’t go much further than that, FYI. The hopper’s capacity is limited, but it hasn’t hindered my use case. It’s perfect as an introduction to drum roasting and a very capable sample roaster. For what it’s worth, it’s also an impressive table-top personal machine to look at. Very stylish design. I’d recommend using a computer with a useful, strong Bluetooth signal. My PC worked a lot better than my MacBook Neo. Tl;dr. If I could rate this roaster a 6/5 I would.
It surpassed our expectation! Everything build withquality and the computer connection works perfectly.
So far, I am really enjoying the M1 lite! It’s an unbeatable price to jump into drum roasting as such a good level. Set up and connection went really easy with their instructions, and I’m enjoying roasting with about 10 batches under my belt. So far no complaints!

I bought the df54 a couple years ago and didn't have many issues with it but last month it completely clogged and the static was terrible. I saw this upgrade and was shocked to see that it was sent free of charge after entering my original order number. The package arrived quickly and the installation was a breeze when following the video on this page. I'm a very happy customer!
The new probe design seems to work well after a few weeks of daily use. Big difference in static, haven't had to clean nearly as often. Install was easy, video is clear. Very happy with this purchase.
I’ve had this machine for a little more than a month now which I upgraded from a Breville barista express and the difference is astounding. The Gallatin is great looking and preforming machine with excellent fit and finish. I appreciate the little touches like the folding handle on the reservoir lid. The rotary pump is quiet and the temperature on both boilers is very stable. Flow control paddle is easy to use and has helped me save some shots when dialing in for a new coffee bean. Even comes with a good quality tamper. A great value for the money and features. I’ve enjoyed learning to use this machine and the great espresso and cappuccino I’ve been able to make with. Would recommend for anyone thinking about purchasing.
This needs some directions. It will not fit over the upper lip. This lip needs to be removed and is just pushed on. I can simply be levered off(not screwed on).
This was an easy upgrade because I had taken these parts apart numerous times to unclog my grinder. I also replaced the plastic catch bucket with a portafilter holder and noted that the collection of "dust" on the outside disappeared.
my df54 is no longer clumping. Well worth it
If you were ever hesitating in buying this then stop now and just do it! I was looking at the Lelit Bianca, ECM, and Profitec equivalents and this unit sweeps them all under the rug bc of the price for value! Will update after 3 months.
Excellent knowledgeable staff, fast shipping, and great customer support.
Once again, Espresso Outlet’s customer support has come through with my requested help with complementing my previous purchase a few years ago of their Alex Duetto to that of their offering of their Wendougee offerings
My 10 year old refurbished Baratza Vario has been struggling. Not to mention anytime I made a drink for someone everyone in the room had to wait until I was finished grinding to resume conversation. This new Eureka is unbelievable quiet. I also think the espresso tastes better. There is a difference between ceramic and steel burrs.
