This grinder has shown me the difference between truly fine and truly coarse grounds vs those done with a blade that just spins them around. It’s easy to use and looks nice on my counter top. With the combination of being more intentional about the beans I buy and brewing them differently, I’d say this has contributed to assisting with better taste as well. So far, I’d say it was worth the purchase.
Solidly built machine, but it was confusing to figure out how to adjust the grind size. When I received the grinder, settings 1–19 all produced a fairly fine grind, and I had to go past 19 for another full turn to get a slightly coarser grind suitable for pour-over. It's a pain to change the grind size if you're switching between espresso and pour-over. If that's a deal breaker, it might be better to consider a different grinder.
I like it but it has a learning curve. The directions are a joke. Videos online helped some, but there needs to be a better one on dialing in the grind settings. It really is zero retention which will help a lot in not having to take it apart to clean it. Trying to get it back to your preferred grind is a trial in patience.
The burr is nice and sharp. The adjustability is good. However it jams if its not a hot atart and it gave trouble turinong off at first. It tends to be messy as there is not a good captur method for the coffee grinds.
