Wake Me UP (Before You Go-Go) is El Condor’s dark-roasted drip blend from Colombia and Honduras. Chocolate and nut notes form the main profile, with hints of vanilla and light fruit adding detail behind the stronger body.

A darker daily drip option
Choose this blend when you prefer a substantial cup with roast depth and chocolate character. Its Colombia-and-Honduras recipe distinguishes it from El Condor’s medium-roast Brazil-and-Guatemala blend. The vanilla and fruit references describe the roaster’s tasting experience rather than a guarantee of sweetness at every brew strength.
Brewing guidance
Start with drip brewing to match the blend’s intended use. If the coffee tastes too intense, reduce strength slightly with a little hot water before changing the grind. This helps separate a concentrated cup from a genuinely harsh extraction.
For whole-bean preparation, explore Turin coffee grinders and choose a model that supports your brew method.

A measured starting recipe
For a filter-brew starting point, measure 20 g coffee and 320 g water, a 1:16 brew ratio by mass. Use a grind appropriate for your filter and keep the bed evenly saturated. If the cup is balanced but weak, increase the coffee dose slightly; if it is sour or dry, adjust extraction through grind size before changing several variables at once.
More preparation and product questions
Where does this coffee come from?
Colombia and Honduras.
What roast profile is listed?
Dark.
What cup or flavor profile is described?
Chocolate, nuts, vanilla and light fruit.
Which formats are listed?
16 oz. Check the current selection menu for the available combinations.
How do I adjust strength without losing balance?
Change the coffee-to-water ratio when the flavor is balanced but the cup is too weak or concentrated. Use grind adjustments when the problem is extraction, keeping dose and water quantity constant for comparison.
Should I judge the coffee only while piping hot?
Taste again as the cup cools toward a comfortable drinking temperature. Sweetness, acidity, body and finish may become easier to distinguish before you decide how to adjust the next brew.
