Some parts of the roaster have the option to be automated by using the Hermetheus Co-Pilot. This device allows you to connect the roaster to your computer where you can use Artisan Scope roast profiling software to tell the roaster what profile you want to roast and the device will change the heat setting on the roaster to follow the roast curve you set for it. All you would need to do is load the beans, set the loft, click GO on your computer, and the roaster will take care of the rest until it’s time to dump the beans into the bean cooler.

Definitely a learning curve. My old machine was a semi automatic espresso machine. Starting to get a handle on making espresso and it seems to be getting better every day I might be able to upgrade this to a five star review. I love the looks and build of this machine.
