The Nuova Simonelli Aurelia Wave Digit espresso machine is the most advanced of the three current non-T3 Aurelia Wave configurations. It adds touchscreen control, auto-purge and enhanced diagnostics to the high-volume Aurelia platform, making it a strong choice for busy specialty cafés, multi-unit operators and teams that need deeper control with a clear, repeatable interface.
Touchscreen control and operational visibility
The Digit gives baristas and managers quick access to recipe settings, operating information and cleaning functions from its touch interface. Programmed volumetric dosing supports consistent output during rushes, while automatic purge cleans the group screen after the portafilter is removed. Enhanced diagnostics and maintenance information help operators identify issues earlier and support a more disciplined service schedule.
- Touchscreen display: centralizes programming and daily machine controls.
- Volumetric dosing: ends programmed shots automatically for easier multitasking.
- Auto-purge: rinses the group area after portafilter removal to support a cleaner workflow.
- Enhanced diagnostics: provides more operational and service information than the other non-T3 versions.
- SIS soft infusion: helps moderate minor differences in puck preparation.
- Raised groups, cool-touch wands and reverse mirror: improve cup clearance, ergonomics and extraction visibility.
- Automatic cleaning: guides routine group washing from the interface.

Digit, Volumetric or Semi-Automatic?
Choose Digit for the richest interface, auto-purge and enhanced diagnostics. Choose the Aurelia Wave Volumetric when programmed dosing and a TFT display are sufficient, or the Aurelia Wave Semi-Automatic when experienced baristas prefer to start and stop every shot manually. Frequently asked questions
Is the Aurelia Wave Digit the T3 model?
No. Digit and T3 are separate versions. This page covers only the current 2 Group and 3 Group Digit configurations and does not represent a T3 machine.
Does the Digit include automatic group purging?
Yes. Auto-purge is a defining Digit feature on the current U.S. configuration.
Can I add EasyCream?
EasyCream is listed as a factory steam-system option. Contact us before ordering so the correct side, configuration and installation details can be quoted.
Which group size is best for a high-volume shop?
The 3 Group provides an additional brew position and a larger 17 L steam boiler, but it also needs a wider counter and higher electrical draw. The 2 Group is more compact and often the better fit when bar space is limited.
