Note about water hardness
Using hard water will ruin your espresso machine. Soft water no higher than 50ppm is required to keep your espresso machine running for the long term. Using hard water will void the warranty.
So far so good! Espresso Outlet was very responsive to questions and shipped quickly. The grinder was very easy to dial in and has been very consistent with a solid taste profile. Happy with the purchase.
Awesome
Finding a local espresso expert was a bitof a challenge, but now that I've found Expresso Outlet I'm a customer for life! Hands on expertise and now a fabulous machine. I couldn't be happier!!
My reference point is a modified Mazzer Major grinder, which I have owned and used for many years. It has 83MM burrs, a huge motor, and is quite large and heavy. It does a terrific job and I’m certainly not going to replace it, is I have of room for it. I recently bought the CF64V due to its size and price. It will travel with us four times each year to Florida in a tote box along with a Turin Legato V2, so we can enjoy good espresso drinks in a small Florida town that doesn’t have a decent café. We are there for 7 to 10 days on a revisit and I can justify this purchase just on cost savings alone, not to mention convenience.
I’ve only used this a few times to test it and make sure that I haven’t dialed in correctly for our Florida trip a few weeks from now, but everything about it really impressed me. It has terrific build quality, for my personal aesthetic taste it has a much more interesting visual appearance than the previous cylindrical slanted Turin models, and it’s very quiet. The default settings for the RPMs and the grind coarseness were pretty much dead on out-of-the-box for the average user. I tend toward restrainer shots and I will probably find myself dialing the espresso coarseness setting down to 22 or 23 instead of 25. At roughly 1/3 the size of the Mazzer Major, and at a price that is two thirds less – this is a bargain!
I have had my cf64v for a couple months now and it's been nothing but fantastic. I use mine solely for espresso and it makes dialing in a very easy process. You can make very minor adjustments to grind size and it has virtually 0 retention. I can't recommend this grinder enough, it's phenomenal.

★★★★★Beverly BGreat Service! It has been a few months since I purchased my machine, but I absolutely love it. Initially I had some issues with damage from shipping, but Joe took care of it immediately so there were no problems. He also stayed on the phone with me for a long time the day I received my machine so I could get everything working properly. I highly recommend!

from 1185 reviewsSuper fast heat up, consistent shots once you dial it in. Steam leaves something to be desired but still does the trick.
Been using it for a few months. Having good results with expresso and courser grind for drip coffee.
The frequency of clogging was intolerable. This upgrade kit reduced the retention to .1 grams or less with each 18 grams of beans ground.
It’s only been a day but very pleased with the grinder so far. The shipping was super fast.
I have a few grinders from E.O. (DF83v, DF83, CF64v and a few others that I have given to others as gifts) that I use quite regularly and this Moshi C83 is truly a breakthrough for me in that I do not have to change the various burr sets that I have with regard to what I am trying to brew…
I’ve been deep down the espresso rabbit hole for years, tasting coffee all over the world, and I can honestly say the Turin Gallatin DB rivals the best of espresso machines. The build quality is top-tier—everything from the matte black finish to the walnut accents feels heavy-duty and genuinely premium. It’s ready to go right out of the box, and having the plumb-in and drainage components included as standard is a huge win. This is my third purchase from Espresso Outlet, and I keep coming back because their shipping is fast, their support is responsive, and their YouTube tutorials are actually useful. Zero complaints so far; it's a solid, high-end machine that delivers.
My Setup: Turin Gallatin DB, DF64 Gen 2 (SSP Burrs), IMS Basket, Normcore Puck Screen 1.7mm, auto leveling tamper, WDT, and distributor
This is a nice grinder for the price. I use it with my Breville Bambino.
So nice espresso machine!
Getting very good results with this grinder. Very adjustable. Low retention. Cup works very well as part of dose preparation.
This roaster is a monumental upgrade from my previous two setups. I started on a whirly pop over my stove several years ago and upgraded to a fluid bed roaster early last year, but preliminary tests on my M1 Lite felt like the previous two roast methods were Stone Age technology. I previously logged my roast profiles using Excel with imported thermocouple data from a self-programmed microcontroller. This machine has both ambient and bean temperature sensors built in, meaning plug and play with Artisan, and I’m having a blast fine-tuning roast profiles. Setup was very easy using the instructions in the box. The largest batch size I’ve made successfully is 180 grams but I wouldn’t go much further than that, FYI. The hopper’s capacity is limited, but it hasn’t hindered my use case. It’s perfect as an introduction to drum roasting and a very capable sample roaster. For what it’s worth, it’s also an impressive table-top personal machine to look at. Very stylish design. I’d recommend using a computer with a useful, strong Bluetooth signal. My PC worked a lot better than my MacBook Neo. Tl;dr. If I could rate this roaster a 6/5 I would.
I upgraded to the Turin and I love it! The coffee on the fine setting is so fluffy and consistent.
Good experience great grindew!
Great upgrade for DF54. Easy-to-follow instructions and has really reduced excess powder.
