We are thrilled to present the next evolution in coffee grinding technology - the Turin DF64 Gen 2. Replacing its esteemed and proven predecessor, the Gen 2 takes coffee grinding to new heights with a host of updates and innovative features that promise to elevate your coffee brewing experience.
Crafted with passion and expertise, the Turin DF64 Gen 2 embodies the perfect fusion of form and function. Building upon the success of the original model, this new version boasts a plethora of enhancements designed to redefine what a coffee grinder can achieve. Among the most notable improvements is the introduction of a cutting-edge plasma generator, specially engineered to tackle the notorious issue of static build-up during the grinding process.
The plasma generator works its magic, significantly reducing static electricity, allowing for smoother and more consistent grinding. Say goodbye to clumping and uneven particle distribution, as the Turin DF64 Gen 2 ensures your coffee grounds are precisely milled for a delightful and balanced extraction every time.
Durability and reliability remain at the core of the Turin DF64 Gen 2's design. Engineered with top-tier materials and precision engineering, this grinder is built to withstand the rigors of daily use and provide years of exceptional performance.
The Turin DF64 Gen 2 is a low retention grinder.
Low retention in a coffee grinder refers to the ability of the grinder to minimize the amount of ground coffee that remains trapped or stuck within the grinding chamber, chute, or other internal components after the grinding process is complete. Retention can lead to stale coffee grounds mixing with freshly ground coffee, resulting in inconsistent flavor profiles and reduced overall brewing quality. With traditional grinders this retained coffee either ends up in the next day’s shot, or users have to purge this amount and discard for optimal flavor. With single dosing and the use of bellows, the amount that is retained in Turin DF64 is usually a percentage of a gram.
The design of the Turin DF64 Gen 2 is very straightforward and has minimalistic features that prevent points of failure from unneeded parts and features. With fewer parts, especially electronic parts, there are fewer points of failure.
With our coffee grinder's heavy-duty metal construction, you can rest assured that every grinding session is met with consistency, reliability, and unparalleled performance. Whether you're grinding for espresso, pour-over, or any other brewing method, this grinder is built to handle it all, and more, making it a truly indispensable tool for all coffee aficionados. Embrace the strength and precision of our heavy-duty metal coffee grinder and elevate your coffee experience to new heights.
The Turin DF64 Gen 2 is offered in both black and white. The collar of the grinder is a machined/polished aluminum.
The latest burrs from Turin offer the ability to grind both espresso and drip. The Turin stainless steel burrs come as the stock burr option. Turin offers an option to upgrade to DLC coated burrs with the same burr geometry.
Additional offerings from SSP such as the High Uniformity (HU) burrs are fantastic for a more dedicated espresso burr.
SSP High Uniformity burrs are good for providing high mouthfeel, intense shots, balanced flavors with some floral / fruity flavors.
Similarly the Multi Purpose (MP or Unimodal) burrs from SSP offer a high clarity which can really bring out the intense flavors in both espresso and pour over methods.
The Turin DF64 Gen 2 is a stepless adjustment grinder with an infinite number of settings between the highest and lowest settings on the grinder. This allows the user to fine tune the grind size to precisely the best grind size for each given coffee. The adjustment dial has labels for different types of coffees to make it easier to find the correct grind size, but those are for reference only and the grind size for every coffee bean can be fine tuned to both the individual bean attributes as well as the brew method.
When you compare the Turin DF64 Gen 2 to other grinders in it’s price range it is very difficult to find anything that has as good build quality, as low retention, as sturdily built and that provides as high quality grinds as the Turin DF64 Gen 2. Even when compared with much higher priced grinders that are $1000 or more, it competes very well in the grind quality category. It really does punch a few notches above it’s price point. In our opinion, it is the best valued grinder on the market in it’s price range – even as high as twice it’s price range.
The Turin DF64 Gen 2 provides consistent grinds for a range of coffees, including: espresso, pour over, v60, siphon, cold brew, French press, drip and more.
There are numerous 3D printed and other modifications out there that people have made for the DF64. We sell two of those, the dial indicator (makes it easier to see the grind size you are on) and the tilted cup holder (brings the cup closer to the grounds chute to prevent coffee grounds from falling out of the cup).

Bought as a spare to my Atom W65. Excellent grinder.
My main grinder is off for repairs. I needed an inexpensive spare because I couldn’t handle the wait. Love it so far. Excellent for espresso.
This is an awesome grinder & not nearly as loud as I expected. I’m very happy.
The Df64 gen 2 is a lot better than my old Rancilio Rocky that it's replacing. My espresso taste much better now.
Love this grinder
I have definitely been spoiled with Expresso Outlet’s Turin offerings and out of the four (4) different Turin grinder models that I have acquired through EO, this CF64v with the SSP Unimodal burr set installed by EO prior to their shipping it to me is a strong equal to that of my other favorite, the DF83v…. Of which I use primarily now for espresso with its SSP red sweet burr set that also performs well for my French Press… SO, getting back to this CF64v, I find that I even have less fines in this CF64v than that of my DF83v and the other two (2) Turin grinders as I have seen, at the most, 1/10th of a gram of grind variance from that of its original start bean weight out of this CF64v and most of the time the exact same total weight as that of its original bean weight… I highly recommend this particular CF64v model to anyone looking for a very well designed and an excellent build quality grinder…. and, at such an affordable price… AS a comparison to these two favorite Turin grinders of mine as to those of my former coffee life, back in the early 1990’s I had the smaller Mazzer and, more recently, as I got back into this coffee world again a few years ago, I had purchased the Mahlkonig X54 of which these two do not even hold a candle to the overall performance and resultant low maintenance requirements of this CF64v and the DF83v in their comparison to these former grinders… AND in my daily use, I do find that this CF64v leaves far fewer internal cavity grind leftovers for a clean-up than even found in my DF83v and it ;is so much lighter in weight as well as it does not take very much countertop space to that of my DF83v… SO, all in all, if I was to choose between these two well-built/superb grinders as well as to any other manufacturer’s offerings, I am finding that I like this CF64v the more that I use it…
Grinder works great so far. Have only had for about two weeks though, so we’ll see what long-term provides.
Have also had a Turin DF64, DF83 and still have a DF64V v1. Will mention that I tried a niche for a month or two when it was so highly rated and never quite got what it’s appeal was. The DF83V is my favorite. The workflow is the same as any other SD grinder, but the factory DLC burrs at 1000 RPM produce clump free grounds and the taste from my shots is the best of all the SD grinders I’ve had. I use medium dark roast beans and make primarily lattes and caps. The DF83V is very easy to live with, low maintenance, ease of use and great tasting coffee.
Wow, amazing grinder with beautiful features. I have a 1Zpresso JX-Pro and really loved the hand grinder. Very portable to take on kayak camping weekends. However, it was time to step to an electric one for at home. Super classy in black and looks sophisticated on my coffee bar station. There are so many great grinders on the market and am happy to land on this one. There are a lot of technical features I love about this grinder. Watch reviews from Lance H, James H and others. You'll see what there is to love. There is a bit of a learning curve, but there are video's out there to help. I'm using for espresso and also pour overs. I pre-ordered and Espresso Outlet was great regarding the tariff debacle and got mine mid April. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.
In perfect condition, looks like it was never used at all. Easy to use, and makes no mess unlike my last grinder.
Espresso outlet was clear and communicative and a pleasure to deal with. The grinder arrived as expected and works perfectly
I am overwhelmed at how Espresso Outlet’s Turin Pour Over scale performs and at such an affordable price point as I find it far superior to that of my Hario V60 scale and ‘almost’ an equal to that of my Fellow Tally Pro scale… I find that this Turin scale is definitely worthy of a five star rating given its solid build quality and accurate performance time and time again in my frequent use with it and I only find a very slight difference between this and the Fellow Tally Pro is that of when I lift the container off of this Turin scale for a swirl or whatever, it turns the timer and scale functions off whereas the Fellow Tally Pro maintains my pour over’s complete precess of weight and timing until the scale is powered off… so, to remediate this difference, I have learned to use the thin handle end of a tea spoon for such in my various pour overs and French presses and this Turin scale works perfectly in this manner … so, I find that there is now literally no difference in my use of this Turin to that of my Fellow’s performance… BUT, now for the kicker… as for the price difference, the Fellow’s Tally Pro cost me well over 5 times the cost of this Turin… SO, with the given reliability of the Turin’s consistent performance and its superb build quality, the clear winner is this Turin Pour Over Scale coupled with that of the great customer care and support that Espresso Outlet & staff offers its customers…

Awesome machine. Well worth the wait! Thank you!!
I've only had this for a few weeks so far, but it's been working great. Grind sizes seem relatively consistent and fluffy, and there don't appear to be any noticeable alignment issues that I can tell. Huge upgrade from a hand grinder for my workflow!
