Espresso Perfecto® Coffee: flavor and cup character

Espresso Perfecto® is Coffee Beanery’s medium-to-dark espresso blend, designed around the deep flavor and tactile weight associated with traditional European-style espresso. The verified blend components come from South America, Central America and Africa. In the cup, the roaster describes robust, smoky tones, subtle dark chocolate, a heavy velvety body and low-to-medium acidity.

Those regions are the extent of the supplied origin information; individual countries, producers, cultivars and processing methods are not listed. The blend is developed for espresso but is also intended to work in a conventional brewer. Its darker roast development increases solubility, so it generally extracts readily and benefits from controlled temperature and contact time rather than an overly fine grind.

Brewing and extraction guidance

Begin espresso dialing with an 18-gram dose and a beverage yield of about 36–40 grams. Aim for an even, syrupy flow and judge the result by balance rather than time alone. If the shot is sharp, thin or sour, grind finer or extend the yield slightly. If it is harsh, ashy or drying, grind coarser, lower the brew temperature a little or stop at a shorter yield. Resting the coffee after roasting allows degassing to settle and can make puck preparation and shot flow more predictable.

Filter brewing

A capable, repeatable grinder matters more than chasing a single recipe. The stepless adjustment available across many Turin grinders makes it easier to respond to age, humidity and dose changes. Distribute the grounds evenly, tamp level and change only one variable at a time while dialing in.

Immersion and iced coffee

For milk drinks, the blend’s heavy body and dark-chocolate direction should remain present through steamed milk. Start near a 1:2 brew ratio for cappuccinos and lattes. For a straight shot or Americano, a 1:2.2 ratio can soften roast intensity and open the finish. Explore Turin espresso machines for equipment suited to repeatable temperature and beverage-yield control.

Espresso and milk drinks

For automatic drip, start around 1:16—30 grams of coffee to 480 grams of water—with a medium grind. Because the roast is relatively soluble, a drawdown that runs too long can emphasize bitterness. Coarsen the grind if the finish dries out; grind finer only when the cup is weak or underdeveloped.

Formats, freshness and storage

Current variants include regular and decaf coffee in 12-ounce and 3-pound formats, with whole bean, automatic-drip, coarse, fine and very-fine selections. Whole bean offers the most control. Keep the bag tightly sealed and away from heat and moisture; grind immediately before brewing whenever possible.

Frequently asked questions

Is Espresso Perfecto only for espresso machines?

No. It was designed for espresso, but the roaster also identifies it as smooth enough for brewed coffee.

What does it taste like?

The verified profile is robust and smoky with dark-chocolate notes, heavy body and low-to-medium acidity.

What countries are in the blend?

Specific countries are not provided. The product record identifies coffees from South America, Central America and Africa.

Can I order it decaffeinated?

Yes. Current variants include regular and decaf options in multiple sizes and grinds.

What espresso ratio should I try first?

Begin near 1:2, such as 18 grams in and 36–40 grams out, then adjust grind and yield to match your machine and taste.

How fresh should espresso be?

Very fresh coffee can release excessive gas and disrupt extraction. Let the coffee rest after roasting, keep it sealed and dial in again as it ages.
