A dark Colombian decaf with a named method
The sugarcane process uses ethyl acetate during decaffeination. Cane sugar also appears in the tasting description, but a tasting note and a processing label describe different things; neither means a spoonful of sugar has been added to your brewed cup.
Filter coffee or espresso
The roaster positions Al Banco for both brewed coffee and espresso. Begin with your normal recipe for the chosen method, then adjust according to the finish. A dry or harsh filter cup may benefit from a slightly coarser grind or gentler water temperature. For espresso, record the beverage weight so each change is measurable.
Taste a small black portion before adding milk to judge how much of the chocolate and caramel profile carries through. Keep the remaining coffee sealed between brews.
