I have v2 apparently, less than a year old. I clean the chute before and after each use. Grinder still clogs once a week, every 10 uses or so. Gigantic mess, every time. Yes I use RDT and no I'm not using oily beans. Given that this is an obvious design problem, why make me pay for the retrofit kit? And why think I have the time or inclination to fix Turin's mistakes? That's on Turin and Espresso Outlet for selling Turin's defective products. They should own up and replace defective models.
This is a nice grinder for the price. I use it with my Breville Bambino.
I like the quietness of the grinder as well as it's aesthetic. Dialing for espresso, has been easy. I grind both medium roast and dark roast. The antic-clamper is not great But I found my way to deal with it. Regular cleaning is a must.
DF54, to match up with my Mara X
What can I say that hasn't been said before, just a real good coffee grinder (so far) I've only had this grinder for a few weeks, bough latest version v3 with the red titanium burrs ($235.00 and after tax $255.00 U.S.) I move from a Eureka Facile grinder which has served me well since 2021.
What like about the DF 54 is how easy it is to get at the burrs and to clean it, much easier than the Eureka.
It not very noisy, small foot print, does not jump around when grinding only thing that was a little annoying was the bellows fit to grinder, the lid fits tight so when you try to take it of the bellows comes off with it, not a deal breaker but can be annoying when making several drinks
Overall I would give it a -A, I think that for around 85 to 90% of the people making home espresso this would be a great grinder for them :)
Great little grinder.

from 1196 reviewsThis needs some directions. It will not fit over the upper lip. This lip needs to be removed and is just pushed on. I can simply be levered off(not screwed on).
This was an easy upgrade because I had taken these parts apart numerous times to unclog my grinder. I also replaced the plastic catch bucket with a portafilter holder and noted that the collection of "dust" on the outside disappeared.
my df54 is no longer clumping. Well worth it
If you were ever hesitating in buying this then stop now and just do it! I was looking at the Lelit Bianca, ECM, and Profitec equivalents and this unit sweeps them all under the rug bc of the price for value! Will update after 3 months.
Excellent knowledgeable staff, fast shipping, and great customer support.
Once again, Espresso Outlet’s customer support has come through with my requested help with complementing my previous purchase a few years ago of their Alex Duetto to that of their offering of their Wendougee offerings
My 10 year old refurbished Baratza Vario has been struggling. Not to mention anytime I made a drink for someone everyone in the room had to wait until I was finished grinding to resume conversation. This new Eureka is unbelievable quiet. I also think the espresso tastes better. There is a difference between ceramic and steel burrs.
I love this machine! The espresso experience compared to my old machine is night and day kind of difference. I have been wasting high quality beans in my old machine and I didnt even know. The end product is that much better! The features this machine has for the price is unmatched!
Espresso Outlet had the upgrade for my grinder that I was looking for. The right price and quick shipping.
Super fast heat up, consistent shots once you dial it in. Steam leaves something to be desired but still does the trick.
Been using it for a few months. Having good results with expresso and courser grind for drip coffee.
The frequency of clogging was intolerable. This upgrade kit reduced the retention to .1 grams or less with each 18 grams of beans ground.
It’s only been a day but very pleased with the grinder so far. The shipping was super fast.
