Six origins, not six botanical varieties

Clear Lake 6 Bean Blend combines coffees from Indonesia, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico. The blend is dark roasted and described with earthy depth, dark-chocolate character and a hazelnut finish. Clear Lake highlights French press and espresso, two methods that can emphasize body and concentration in different ways.

The name refers to six producing origins, not six identified botanical cultivars. The record does not provide farms, producer groups, elevations, processes, varieties or blend percentages. Those details should not be inferred from country alone. Chocolate and hazelnut are sensory descriptors rather than proof of added flavor or a complete allergen statement.

The product is offered in one-, two- and five-pound sizes, with Standard grind, Espresso grind and Whole Bean selections. Whole bean supports method-specific grind control. Prepared grinds are convenient but should be chosen for a compatible brewer.

Use heat and contact time deliberately

For French press, start with 26 grams of coffee and 420 grams of water, close to a 1:16 ratio. Use a medium-coarse grind, steep about four minutes and decant the full brew after pressing. Leaving coffee on the grounds changes the later servings and makes the finish harder to evaluate.

If the press cup is rough or overly bitter, try a coarser grind or slightly cooler water. Dark roast development generally increases solubility, so more dose or longer contact is not always better. If the cup is weak yet already bitter, adjust strength and extraction separately rather than grinding dramatically finer.

For espresso, begin around a 1:2 brew ratio using a dose suited to the basket. Taste the straight shot before adding milk. If it is drying, test a slightly coarser grind or lower temperature. If it runs fast and thin, grind finer while holding dose and yield stable.

The Turin DF64 Gen 2 grinder and Turin Legato espresso machine provide a contextual whole-bean espresso setup. Record dose, beverage yield, time and temperature; the same numbers may still need adjustment as roasted coffee degasses.

Protect a larger dark-roast supply

One pound is the smallest option on this listing. Two pounds can support a regular household, while five pounds fits high-volume service. Five pounds contains roughly 90 press doses at 25 grams. Choose the bulk format only when turnover is high enough to preserve aroma.

Divide a large bag into smaller airtight portions. Keep coffee away from heat, light, humidity and strong odors. Dark-roast surfaces can show more oil over time; that is not a reason to use water or improvised cleaners in a grinder. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions.

Compare Clear Lake Cowboy Blend for a mixed medium-and-dark roast with cocoa and caramel notes. Browse the Specialty Coffee collection for other robust blends and origin coffees.

Ordering and shipping

Coffee ships directly from the roaster partner. Roasted coffee does not qualify for free shipping; shipping charges are set by the partner. Coffee orders are not eligible for returns or cancellations, so confirm the bag size, grind and quantity before ordering.

Because variants can differ by grind and size, review the exact selection shown in the cart before checkout. When the shipment arrives, retain the roaster label and note the chosen variant with your first brew record. That makes later recipe adjustments and reordering more reliable than relying on the product name alone.
